Scanning a paper receipt with the camera is the one thing only the app does. It is being tested through TestFlight while the web app and the MCP server stay open to everyone — the account, the records, and the rules are the same on all three.

Requires an iPhone running iOS 26.0 or later, plus Apple’s TestFlight app. Beta builds expire 90 days after release; TestFlight tells you when a newer one is ready.

No. When you scan in the app, the photo is held in memory for one request while it is read, and is never written to a disk, a queue, or a log. When you use your own AI client, that client reads the photo and sends SiftSum only the structured fields. The image never reaches us.
No. SiftSum keeps a clear ledger from your opening balance, received income, and confirmed expenses. It does not require bank credentials.
SiftSum is a personal financial journal, not tax filing or full bookkeeping software. It is designed to make receipts, income, and cash flow easier to understand.
Any MCP-compatible client. Claude and ChatGPT both connect over OAuth with one address, and manual tokens cover the rest. Whatever an assistant files is labelled with the assistant that filed it, so you can tell them apart afterwards. The same 59 tools are also driven by the assistant built into the app, so you do not need an outside client to use them.
