Public Beta Terms of Use
Anyone can create a SiftSum account during the public beta. By creating an account, you acknowledge that the product is still being tested and agree to these terms.
Public-beta software
SiftSum may contain bugs, incomplete features, interruptions, inaccurate AI output, or changes that affect how existing features work. Features may be added, changed, or removed during the beta. Keep another copy of records you cannot afford to lose and do not rely on SiftSum as your only financial record.
Not financial, tax, or accounting advice
SiftSum is a personal financial journal. It is not a bank connection, tax filing service, accounting system, or source of financial advice. Balances, classifications, forecasts, receipt readings, and assistant answers can be wrong. Review information before relying on it and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
Your account
Provide accurate registration information, protect your password and connected-client credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe the account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through credentials or clients you authorize. You must be legally able to agree to these terms.
AI drafts and approvals
Receipt reading and assistant features can make mistakes. A draft does not affect analytics until you save or confirm it, and a proposed assistant action waits for approval. Those controls reduce risk but do not replace your review. You are responsible for deciding what to save or approve.
Acceptable use
- Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or usage limits.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to process or use SiftSum to violate another person’s privacy or rights.
- Do not share access tokens or use automated clients in a way that harms the service or other users.
- Do not misrepresent AI-generated or journal information as independently verified by SiftSum.
Plans and App Store purchases
Core features and AI allowances are described in the product. Paid plans are purchased through Apple’s App Store and are also subject to Apple’s terms, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund processes. Current prices and entitlements are the ones shown by the app before purchase.
Availability and account action
We may suspend access needed to protect SiftSum, other users, or the public; respond to abuse; comply with law; or repair the beta. You can stop using SiftSum and delete your account at any time.
Ownership and feedback
You retain rights in the information you enter. You give SiftSum permission to process it only as needed to provide and secure the service as described in the Privacy Policy. SiftSum and its software, design, and branding remain the property of their respective owners. If you send beta feedback, we may use it to improve the product without an obligation to compensate you.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the public beta is provided as available and without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, SiftSum is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the beta.
Changes and contact
These terms may change as the public beta develops. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be communicated when appropriate. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
